Uber now offers UberGo, UberX and UberXL across its Indian cities. In some cities of its operations, Uber seems to offer its UberSUV option which populates cars like Toyota Innova and possibly Corolla. In October 2014, ET stated that Uber seemed to have dropped its fleet of BMWs, Mercedes’ and Audis, instead adding Innovas and Corollas for UberBLACK. At that time, the company plied BLACK cars on a commission basis and charged Rs 200 as minimum fare, followed by Rs 18 per km.

Ola has launched a new class of ‘Micro’ cabs, which have a base fare ranging from Rs. 35 to Rs. 45, at rates of Rs. 6 per km. The Micro class of vehicles include compact cars like the Hyundai Eon, Wagon R, and Datsun Go, now available for bookings in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune and Hyderabad. The launch of the new fleet seems like an attempt to undercut the prices of UberGo, which ranges from Rs. 6 to Rs. 8 per kilometre.
