RJIL’s outgoing traffic is less than 2 calls per customer per hour even during peak traffic period, which requires only a reasonable number of POIs. These calls are not to one operator but distributed over all the operators. Incumbent operators are describing such a modest call rate as a Tsunami of traffic from RJIL.

Jio will provide a ‘welcome offer’ with free unlimited access to data and voice calls for those customers who haven’t still tried out the network. It has not been mentioned whether this is available via free SIM cards or through bundled offers while purchasing smartphones. This welcome offer starts from September 5th to December 31st. Jio’s test network is already present in 18,000 cities and towns, and over 2 lakh villages.

The free preview offer is valid only on all 4G VoLTE supported models of Samsung, Panasonic, and ASUS. Earlier, in July, Jio had extended the free preview offer to a limited set of Samsung devices.
