It is an online hiring platform focused on white-collar jobs. The acquisition will help the company to strengthen its job vertical QuikrJobs and address recruitment demand for multiple job categories across various industries. The entire customer base of Hiree will now be transferred and merged with QuikrJobs, and will operate out of Quikr’s HQ in Mumbai.

The fleet will help fulfil delivery of C2C transactions from its platform and will work in parallel with its external logistics partners to address increasing consumer demand. To organise the C2C transactions market by facilitating price negotiations, payment, pickup and delivery, Quikr recently launched Doorstep. It is the only platform to offer end to end solution for all steps of C2C transactions across the country. Doorstep helps buyers and sellers negotiate in real time via Quikr’s messaging platform and provides an option to complete the entire transaction online.

Bangalore-based Commonfloor which was acquired by Quikr, has laid off more than 100 employees. The employees were informed via email that there were no positions open in Quikr and they should pursue opportunities outside and that it would be the official notification for the commencement of notice period. CommonFloor is also vacating its current office space and will be soon be moving to Quikr’s premises. Quikr had acquired Commonfloor for $200mn and had asserted that there will be no layoffs.

Quikr has launched Quikr Doorstep to bring the convenience of e-commerce to pre-owned goods by facilitating price negotiations, payment, pickup and delivery. Quikr Doorstep has been launched across mobile phones, electronics & appliances, household furniture and other such products and the company plans to aggressively scale this business over the coming year. Quikr Doorstep has been consistently seeing over 100% month-on-month growth in volume and the average transaction value on the service has also doubled since launch, said the company.

Truecaller has launched an SDK called TrueSDK, that will let app developers verify users via their phone numbers and login using their Truecaller profiles. The SDK, which will also enable developers to update a user’s information, has launched with 12 partners including CarDekho, Quikr, OYO Rooms and ixigo. As of now the SDK is Android only and is available to registered third party apps. Truecaller mentions that the SDK will require user permission before verifying their identities. The SDK is free for developers to use.

People looking to sell their mobile phones on Quikr will now be able to evaluate the condition and quality of mobile phones through a diagnostic app named QuikrScanner, reports Economic Times. The app runs up to 20 tests evaluating battery condition, camera quality, network-related conditions, etc. A final quality score will be displayed to those looking to buy a phone through Quikr. According to Quikr, it made the diagnostic app bring more transparency to transactions of pre-owned mobiles.
