Wipro will be implementing the core banking solution for Paytm and also programme managing the integration of other key systems like the anti-money laundering solution and the regulatory reporting solution. Wipro will play a crucial role in helping Paytm interface its existing systems with the core banking solution. It will put in place and manage the data centers for the Payment Bank in order to ensure smooth functioning.

Unicommerce says that all interim injunctions sought by Paytm were denied by the Delhi high court. Paytm’s statement, on the other hand, said court asked Unicommerce not to use any data which it accessed from the sellers of Paytm. Unicommerce confirmed in court that it had discontinued the usage pf Paytm’s logo and also claimed that it has removed the logo from an old video which Paytm had shown in court.

The court also asked Unicommerce to pull down its YouTube advertisement or remove Paytm’s logo from it. Paytm has asked its sellers not to use Unicommer’s platform and ‘strict action’ will be taken which include ‘imposing penalties’ or ‘blocking the concerned partner entirely’ or more. The case will next be heard on July 11th. Paytm had filed a lawsuit against Unicommerce and accused of accessing confidential data via the sellers who use Unicommerce’s platform for managing their orders and inventory for other marketplaces as well.

The platform lets brands reach out to train travellers contextually and helps them discover apps and deals relevant to them. Over 20 brands including Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Freecharge, PepperTap, DineOut, BlaBlaCar, UrbanClap, Cleartrip, MakeMyTrip, Spicejet, TravelKhana and Twigly have signed up for it to market their apps and deals to Indian train travellers.

The UPI will be launched today and so far has 29 banks signed on its platform. It is speculated to include only bank accounts and not wallet accounts. The UPI is an additional layer of payments architecture built upon the IMPS mobile payments system which will allow customers to transfer money across different banks with the use of a single identification and password. Multiple bank accounts can be linked to a single mobile banking application and money can be both received and requested through the same interface.

Japan’s largest e-commerce company and Viber chat owner Rakuten has opened a business office in Bangalore and plans to open an online retail platform in India. The company is appointing midlevel managers from Flipkart and Amazon. Rakuten had started its development centre in Bangalore in 2014. Chinese e-commerce Alibaba is also planning to enter the Indian market as a standalone entity and run parallel to its investments in existing players such as Paytm and Snapdeal.
