The iPhone 6s Plus 128GB got a massive price-cut of Rs 22,000 and is now selling at Rs 70,000. The iPhone 6s 128GB which was available at Rs 82,000 has been brought down to Rs 60,000. iPhone SE 64GB will be available at Rs 44,000.
Apple has seeked the Government’s approval as it plans to import and sell refurbished iPhones in India. The company is also planning to set up a facility which will renovate used mobiles shipped from China. The company filed an application to the Environment ministry’s technical review committee on December 7th. No business plan has been revealed by the company but the number of refurbished phones would be in low hundreds of thousands units annually.
Technology giant Apple is set for its best-ever quarter in local sales with the shipment of more than 4,13,500 iPhones in the first month of its launch to November 15. According to Cybex Exim,”Shipments of the new iPhones made up nearly 74% of Apple’s total in the month and a half that began October 1″. Further, Research agencies estimate that sales for the quarter ending December may exceed 700,000 units.
