This will be to open 160 cinema screens across the country by the end of next year. The company will expand footprint in the top 60 cities.
For Cinepolis, Paytm users can book their movie tickets with over 236 screens the company operates. In March 2016, Paytm partnered with PVR Cinemas and INOX for movies tickets. The new initiative will also let users pay for food and other value-added services through their wallet. For Mother Diary, users will now be able to make payments through their wallets across 100+ Mother Dairy milk booths.
Digital payments platform FreeCharge has partnered with Cinepolis, a chain of movie theatres. With the partnership going live, customers can pay for movie tickets and Food & Beverages across 38 Cinepolis theatres in 28 Cities using the FreeCharge wallet. As part of the launch, the customers will also be able to avail offers and discounts rolled off by the FreeCharge.
