The online service, which helps users buy used and new cars, has tied up with lenders such as HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Tata Capital and Mahindra Finance. Through this platform, a potential buyer can enquire about loan financing for a pre-inspected car with a dealer and they can check for eligibility with different buyers.
GirnarSoft is the parent company of CarDekho, Gaadi and Zigwheels. GirnarSoft added that it would be increasing its staff size to 3,500 by the first quarter of 2016-17.
Truecaller has launched an SDK called TrueSDK, that will let app developers verify users via their phone numbers and login using their Truecaller profiles. The SDK, which will also enable developers to update a user’s information, has launched with 12 partners including CarDekho, Quikr, OYO Rooms and ixigo. As of now the SDK is Android only and is available to registered third party apps. Truecaller mentions that the SDK will require user permission before verifying their identities. The SDK is free for developers to use.
GirnarSoft, the parent company of CarDekho, BikeDekho, Gaadi, Zigwheels, BuyingIQ and Drishya360s, plans to launch multiple automobile verticals including ones for batteries, light commercial vehicles, insurance and hyperlocal roadside assistance services in the next 3-4 months reports VCCircle. The company also plans to expand to the Middle East and African regions, and will also take its new platforms there.
GirnarSoft, the parent company of CarDekho, Zigwheels and Gaadi, has acquired Drishya360s, an augmented reality and video production startup in a cash and stock deal, for an undisclosed amount. GirnarSoft plans to build an interactive virtual reality technology and AR for CarDekho, Gaadi and BikeDekho among others. It will also use the startup’s experience to develop online and offline ad solutions. GirnarSoft added that its properties accumulate over 33 million visits monthly, and has 22 million unique visitors.
CarDekho has raised an undisclosed amount of investment from HDFC Bank. The partnership with HDFC Bank will also allow CarDekho’s users to buy a new or used car with possible financing from HDFC. It expects digital to have a 25% share in auto loan financing in the next 4 years and plans to facilitate auto loans worth a $1 billion through its portal. It claims that the portal gets 17M visits/month which includes 10M unique buyers.
