Zee had first invested in MirriAD in 2014, with the objective of developing technology for product placement and embedding advertising into video streams. Zee had initially picked up 17% in the company in 2014. Previous annual reports indicate that Zee had invested Rs 27.4 Cr in MirriAd in the financial year ending March 2014 and Rs 31.3 Cr during the year ended March 2015.
